Chamber leaders visited Susan Bourgeois, Louisiana Economic Development Secretary, at her office near the State Capitol on May 18, 2026. A former and founding CEO of the Northshore Community Foundation, Bourgeois has strong ties to St. Tammany Parish.
During the visit, Bourgeois shared insight into the record-breaking level of economic development investment taking place across Louisiana, with significant investments reaching North Louisiana and rural communities.
The transformation of Louisiana Economic Development and the Louisiana Department of Transportation is producing results that chambers, economic development organizations and business groups across the state have worked toward for years.
