The St. Tammany Chamber of Commerce will host UNLOCKED Young Professionals Summit on Thursday, October 15, bringing emerging professionals together for a half-day experience focused on leadership, professional growth and the skills needed to make an impact in the workplace and community.
The Summit will take place from 7:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at The Harbor Center, 100 Harbor Center Blvd. in Slidell. The program is designed for professionals under 40 who are beginning their careers, taking their next leadership step, building a business, exploring new opportunities or looking for ways to become more valuable within their organizations. UNLOCKED will provide opportunities to build skills, broaden perspectives and explore what’s next.
Young professionals involved with the Chamber have played an active role in developing UNLOCKED, helping shape the topics, conversations and experiences they believe are most valuable to professionals at this stage of their careers.
The Summit will open with Northshore Collaboration: A Live Podcast Conversation, examining the importance of collaboration and how emerging professionals can contribute to stronger businesses and communities. Three sessions will follow, focusing on leadership, navigating imposter syndrome and becoming irreplaceable. Through panel discussions and presentations, attendees will explore leadership development and civic engagement, strategies for building confidence and managing self-doubt, and the skills, communication and relationships that can help professionals bring greater value to their organizations.
The event will conclude with a Keynote Luncheon featuring Lauren Haydel, founder and CEO of Fleurty Girl. Haydel founded the New Orleans-based retail company in 2009 with $2,000 and one T-shirt design and has grown it into a nine-location brand. Her keynote will explore entrepreneurship, resilience, marketing, leadership, embracing failure and the importance of taking action.
