Advocacy in Action: Northshore Shows Up at the Capitol

When it comes to making our region’s voice heard, the Northshore shows up—and this year was no exception.

Our annual Northshore Focus event brought Chamber members, business leaders and community partners to the Louisiana Capitol Rotunda for a front-row seat to the legislative session in action. Led in partnership with chambers from St. Tammany, Livingston, Tangipahoa and Washington parishes, this event continues to highlight the strength of our region when we work together. Our Chamber was proud to welcome our largest group of participants yet.

Held during the opening days of the legislative session, Northshore Focus gave attendees the opportunity to connect directly with legislators, elected officials and key decision-makers while they were actively shaping policy. With lawmakers moving between committee meetings and floor sessions, our group had meaningful, real-time conversations about the issues impacting businesses across the Northshore. More than just a visit to the Capitol, this event is about impact. It’s about building relationships, sharing priorities and ensuring the Northshore business community is part of the conversation when decisions are being made. Simply put—this is advocacy in action.
