Straight from the Capitol to the Northshore, Chamber members received timely insight into the 2025 Legislative Session during last week’s Legislative Wrap-Up Luncheon. The event brought together eight members of the Northshore legislative delegation who shared key outcomes from the session and engaged directly with the local business community through a robust question-and-answer discussion.

Attendees heard firsthand perspectives on legislation impacting economic development, workforce issues and the overall business climate, reinforcing the value of direct dialogue between policymakers and employers. The luncheon provided an important opportunity for Chamber members to better understand legislative priorities and how decisions made in Baton Rouge affect businesses and communities across the Northshore.

The Chamber extends sincere thanks to the legislators who took time to connect with our business community:

  • Rep. Brian Glorioso (District 90)
  • Sen. Beth Mizell (District 12)
  • Sen. Bob Owen (District 1)
  • Sen. Bill Wheat (District 37)
  • Rep. Stephanie Berault (District 76)
  • Rep. Kim Carver (District 89)
  • Rep. Jay Gallé (District 104)
  • Rep. Mark Wright (District 77)

We appreciate their insight, transparency and continued commitment to our region. Events like the Legislative Wrap-Up Luncheon underscore the Chamber’s ongoing role as a bridge between the business community and elected leaders, ensuring our members stay informed and engaged on the issues that matter most.
