Young professionals looking to develop their leadership skills while giving back to the community are invited to attend Speed Connection, a free, high-energy networking event designed to connect emerging leaders with local nonprofits and meaningful opportunities to get involved.
Presented by the St. Tammany Chamber of Commerce’s Northshore Young Professionals and the Northshore Community Foundation and hosted by the Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency (LOPA), Speed Connection will be held Tuesday, September 22, at LOPA, 68190 Highway 190 in Covington. The event will take place in LOPA’s 2nd Floor Conference Room.
Now in its second year, Speed Connection brings young professionals together with representatives from local nonprofits in a fast-paced format. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about organizations making a difference across the Northshore and explore ways to get involved, whether through volunteering, serving on a nonprofit board or providing support through their workplace or business.
