Chamber Board and ChamberPAC leaders made an early morning trip to the State Capitol on May 18, 2026, to meet with members of the Northshore Legislative Delegation. We were joined by representatives from the Tangipahoa and Washington Parish chambers.
Delegation members expressed their appreciation for the time and effort spent meeting with them as they navigate important decisions during the final two weeks of the regular legislative session. Discussions focused on priorities including broadband and highway infrastructure, early childhood, elementary and higher education, workforce and economic development.
The conversations also included reactions to the weekend’s election, particularly the failure of all five constitutional amendments and the potential impact on Louisiana communities and businesses.
