Greater New Orleans, Inc. President and CEO Michael Hecht addressed the St. Tammany Chamber at our October 16 Chamber Luncheon, sharing insights on business and economic growth across Southeast Louisiana.
Hecht emphasized the interconnectedness of the region, noting that “no parish is an island” and underscoring the importance of a strong New Orleans economy to the success of surrounding parishes. He discussed regional economic trends, opportunities for business growth in St. Tammany and beyond, the proposed St. Bernard port and recent leadership developments in the region. He also highlighted the collaborative approach of Louisiana Economic Development under Secretary Susan Bourgeois, describing it as a “department of yes.”
