Resource Bank was honored with the Legacy Award during our annual Business Appreciation Awards Luncheon on November 13, 2025. This award recognizes a thriving business that has been in operation for more than 20 years and has made a lasting commitment to preserving the integrity and character of St. Tammany Parish.
Founded and headquartered in St. Tammany Parish, Resource Bank has grown organically and sustainably over the past 27 years. With five parish-wide locations and ten total branches, and owned by more than 450 local shareholders, the bank has remained deeply rooted in the community while demonstrating that investing in people and places creates lasting success.
Resource Bank’s contributions are extensive. From financing historic preservation projects in Covington, Slidell and Mandeville, to supporting local businesses and entrepreneurship, they have helped shape the economic and cultural landscape of our region. They’ve provided local employment and career development opportunities for hundreds of residents, partnered with schools for mentorship and financial education programs, and sponsored youth athletics, arts and summer programs.
Beyond these efforts, they actively engage with our community through events like the Kokomo and Girard Street Strolls, Chamber expos, and family-friendly cultural programs. Resource Bank’s philanthropy supports basic needs, medical research, and disaster relief, and their employees serve on boards for organizations ranging from the Northshore Food Bank to Habitat for Humanity.
Through its leadership, dedication, and values, Resource Bank has become a true pillar of St. Tammany Parish.
Resource Bank’s Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer Jaime Gabourel accepted the award presented by Desiree Forsyth of Inside Northside Magazine
