The Small Business Council (SBC) is a program of the St. Tammany Chamber of Commerce dedicated to helping small businesses grow, adapt and succeed. Serving Chamber members at Levels 1, 2 and 3, SBC focuses on education, connection and community-building to support the unique needs of small business owners across St. Tammany Parish.

The SBC brings together small business owners to share insights, stay informed on emerging trends and challenges, and access practical resources that support long-term sustainability. By remaining closely connected to real-time business issues, the Council helps address common concerns and creates opportunities for meaningful engagement and growth.

What the Small Business Council Offers

• Education & Professional Development: The Council sponsors and promotes seminars, workshops, webinars, and roundtable discussions on topics relevant to small businesses, including operations, marketing, finance, human resources, technology, and compliance.
• Strategic Partnerships: SBC works closely with trusted partners such as the Louisiana Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and St. Tammany Corporation to connect members with valuable expertise, tools, and programming.
• Peer Connection & Engagement: Through networking opportunities and collaborative discussions, members build relationships with fellow business owners and potential customers.
• Recognition & Advocacy: SBC members play an active role in nominating businesses for the Chamber’s annual Business Appreciation Awards, which recognize achievement, longevity, and community involvement.
