Northshore Young Professionals (NYP) is a program of the St. Tammany Chamber of Commerce dedicated to engaging and developing the next generation of business and community leaders. The mission of NYP is to bring together young professionals from across the parish to build meaningful relationships, engage with business, political and community leadership, and contribute to the continued growth and success of St. Tammany Parish.
Comprised of a diverse group of professionals under the age of 40, NYP provides opportunities for members to expand their professional networks, develop leadership skills and gain a deeper understanding of the Chamber’s work and impact within the community. The program is intentionally designed to prepare participants for future leadership and volunteer roles within the Chamber and the broader business community.
Program Highlights
- Leadership Development: NYP supports leadership growth by creating pathways for members to become more involved in Chamber initiatives and future governance.
- Networking & Engagement: Monthly opportunities—including social gatherings, philanthropic initiatives and community outreach projects—allow members to connect and collaborate.
- Professional Education: Quarterly educational luncheons or breakfasts address topics relevant to young professionals and emerging leaders.
- Community Connection: Informal socials hosted at local restaurants and venues provide additional opportunities for relationship-building across industries.
NYP programming is offered throughout the year, and members are encouraged to stay engaged and involved. Upcoming events and activities can be found on our calendar.
