Each year, our committees work hard to make a difference for our members, and it is never easy to select just one that stands out—because they all do such an incredible job. Every committee contributes time, energy and expertise to support the Chamber’s mission, and we are grateful to every Chamber committee member.
The Events Committee, led by three-time Chairman Louis Ochoa of The Sadie Jane, is the recipient of the 2025 Committee of the Year Award.
Over the past year, this team played a central role in how our Chamber connects, celebrates and creates value for members. They helped bring multiple signature events to life, including the annual Swinging for Scholarships Golf Tournament, the Southern Nights Soirée and auction, and the Explore Northshore Business Expo. Each event provided opportunities to network, promoted member businesses, strengthened connections across our community and—perhaps most importantly—ensured members had fun along the way.
The committee’s thoughtful planning, hands-on support and creativity—from assisting with logistics to supporting sponsorships—ensured each event ran smoothly and delivered a meaningful experience for attendees. Their energy, adaptability and teamwork helped the Chamber shine throughout the year and set the stage for continued success.
