The River Chase II Building was recognized with the 2025 Site-to-See Covington Award for its exceptional design and its positive impact on the community. This award celebrates a location that enhances the appearance of the Covington community.
This two-story facility exemplifies architectural excellence, local craftsmanship, and a strong sense of place within St. Tammany Parish. Inside, the space harmoniously balances form and function. A collaborative design studio and showroom allow clients to explore finishes and layouts in a real-world setting. Custom furniture and millwork complement a central steel-and-wood staircase, while skylights flood the space with natural light. High-end finishes, polished concrete floors, architectural lighting, and thoughtful flow create an environment that is both inspiring and functional.
Sustainability and innovation are at the heart of this facility. A geothermal HVAC system circulates water through 120 wells beneath the parking lot, feeding heat pumps that deliver efficient, year-round climate control. Combined with insulated low-e glass, the system ensures comfort and energy savings.
Beyond its design, the building has become a hub for community collaboration, hosting local professional and nonprofit organizations. It represents the collaborative effort of Kent Design Build and Stirling, both headquartered in Covington and instrumental in bringing this vision to life.
Accepting the award were Kyle Kent from Kent Design Build and John Woodard from Stirling. The award was presented by Mark Niehaus with Xplore Federal Credit Union.
