Griffin & Furman CPAs received the All-in-the-Family Award at our annual Business Appreciation Awards Luncheon on November 13, 2025. It was given in recognition of their   successful family-owned business that has maintained strong values while thriving professionally.

The firm was founded in 2000 by Stephen Griffin shortly after his son, Matthew, was diagnosed with autism. Seeking both greater income and flexibility for his family, he started a small practice that has since grown into a thriving firm of 35 dedicated employees. Today, they serve businesses, individuals, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations with excellence, all while staying deeply rooted in family values. They’re recognized as one of the top audit providers for credit unions in Louisiana—and even nationally.

Family continues to play a central role in the business. Daughter Sydney oversees daily operations as Chief Operating Officer, driving growth and efficiency, while son Noah specializes in audit compliance engagements. Nephew Keith strengthens the tax and accounting department, reinforcing the firm’s strong family foundation. At the heart of it all is Matthew, whose presence has inspired a “family first” culture that emphasizes compassion, inclusion and community involvement. In his honor, the firm supports employee-chosen charitable initiatives, making giving back a core part of its identity.

This family-centered leadership approach has fostered a workplace that blends professional excellence with personal connection—qualities that have defined the firm’s success and impact for more than two decades.

The award was accepted by Managing Partner Stephen Griffin and his son Matthew, and presented by Donna Bach of Pizza Platoon.
