Each year brings friendly competition among committees for the Chamber of the Year Award. The Small Business Council (SBC), under the leadership of Chairman Todd Hillberry of Hydro-Line Exteriors, LLC, is the 2024 award recipient, demonstrating extraordinary vision and commitment by transforming itself into an even more valuable resource for our business community.
It’s rewarding to see busy professionals whose time is limited come together to support our members and meet the goals set by our board of directors. SBC exemplified this dedication through strategic growth, increasing their membership to 109 members while ensuring a healthy balance between business owners seeking guidance and experienced professionals offering expertise.
Perhaps their most impactful initiative was the introduction of the quarterly “Lunch and Learn” series. These consistently well-attended events addressed crucial topics including federal labor law changes, cash flow management, digital marketing strategies, and wage law compliance. Through partnerships with Cox Business, the Small Business Development Center and various sponsors, they provided essential education to members.
For committee members to be so proud of their engagement in a group is rewarding for each of them. The SBC’s achievements in 2024 show how dedicated business leaders can work together to create meaningful impact for our Chamber members.
