Our Chamber continued its proud tradition of recognizing outstanding businesses in St. Tammany at its 22nd annual Business Appreciation Luncheon, presented by its President Level Investors with media sponsor Inside Northside on November 14, 2024, at Benedict’s in Mandeville. Sixteen deserving businesses were honored in ten categories.

“This event is our opportunity to celebrate the hard work and accomplishments not only of those receiving awards, but also of a thriving business community that is truly the lifeblood of St. Tammany,” said St. Tammany Chamber Chairman Chris Abadie.

The “Golden Spoon” Award honors a restaurant or caterer that excels in customer service, top-notch food service, and goes above and beyond for their patrons. The recipients are Meribo in Covington, Coffee Rani in Mandeville, and Sedra Bistro in Slidell.

The “All-in-the-Family” Award honors a successful family-owned business establishment. There is a tie this year with both Pizza Platoon and LOLA receiving an award.

The “Out-of-the-Gate Running” Award honors a business that has successfully been in operation for less than three years and positively contributes to the community. The recipient is Arena Collective.

The “Go Give” Award honors a company that encourages employee involvement in the community, whether it is by giving of their time and/or money to worthy causes. The recipient is Silver Slipper Casino Hotel.

The “Site-to-See” Award honors a business location that enhances the appearance of the community by either their interior or exterior appearance. Recipients are Xplore Federal Credit Union in Covington, PJ’s Coffee & Tea on Highway 22 in Mandeville, and The Harbor Center in Slidell.

The “Service with a Smile” Award honors a company known for its outstanding customer service. The recipient is Covington Trace ER & Hospital.

The “Adaptive Reuse” Award honors an establishment that has creatively reimagined and repurposed an existing property, bringing renewed life to the St. Tammany community. The recipient is Goldfish Swim School/Urban Air Adventure Park.

The “Innovation” Award honors a company that has been in business a minimum of two years in St. Tammany Parish and demonstrates “out-of-the-box” thinking and a creative approach to any aspects of its business. The recipient is Slidell Memorial Hospital.

The “Tammany Proud” Award honors a business that does work outside of the southeast Louisiana area and has fostered a positive image of St. Tammany Parish. There is a tie this year with both Painting with a Twist and Florida Marine Transporters receiving an award.

The “Legacy” Award honors a thriving business that has been in operation for more than 20 years and has made a long-term commitment to preserving the integrity and character of St. Tammany Parish. The recipient is Dependable Glass Works.
