The Jefferson Chamber of Commerce hosted the quarterly Chamber Roundtable, bringing together leadership from across the region to collaborate on pressing issues and opportunities. Representing our Chamber were Board Chairman Chris Abadie and CEO Lacey Osborne, alongside executives and board chairmen from the Jefferson, St. Bernard, and River Region Chambers.

Jasmine Brown DeRousselle, Chief External Affairs Officer with GNO Inc., provided a comprehensive update on the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP), discussing its connection to global energy demand and potential reforms under FEMA’s Risk Rating 2.0.

Additional topics of discussion included regional air quality ratings, the distribution of ad valorem taxes between industries and homeowners, and strategies for addressing economic development challenges while leveraging emerging opportunities.

These quarterly roundtables continue to foster collaboration among regional chambers, ensuring that our collective voice is strong and aligned in advocating for the needs of our communities and businesses.
