Our Swinging for Scholarships Golf Tournament held on March 22 at Beau Chene Golf Club in Mandeville raised money for our Scholarship Fund.
“Three $1,000 scholarships are awarded to St. Tammany high school seniors planning to attend a Louisiana college. We will soon announce this year’s scholarship recipients, and appreciate the golfers and sponsors participating in our golf tournament for making this possible,” said St. Tammany Chamber CEO Lacey Osborne, adding that many qualified scholarship applications were received.
More than eighty-six golfers played in the tournament. First place went to the foursome from Gulf States Real Estate Services—Mike Saucier, Matthew Saucier, Chad Catalano and Jason Riebert. Chad Roberts with Hancock Whitney Bank won the Longest Drive competition sponsored by Carver Darden, LLC; Nick Rider with In-Telecom won the Longest Drive competition sponsored by Parish President Mike Cooper; Chad Roberts with Hancock Whitney Bank won the Closest-to-the-Hole competition sponsored by Senator Patrick McMath; and Stephen Olney won the Closest-to-the-Hole competition sponsored by Patriot Title.
