The Chamber’s Northshore Young Professionals celebrated Earth Day last Friday by participating in the state-wide Love the Boot cleanup. They partnered with Keep Lacombe Beautiful and want to thank its Executive Director, Carolyn Darby for the t-shirts, supplies and hospitality. The NYPs picked up litter along Highway 190 and Lake Road in Lacombe. Their efforts resulted in approximately 600 pounds of trash collected! Post-cleanup, the NYPs were treated to food and drinks at Bayou Stuf in Lacombe. What a treat!

NYPs participating were Diana Stanley, Simply Real Estate; Erica Moreau and Joe Eagan, Grace Funeral Home and St. Lazarus of Bethany Memorial Gardens; Daniel Carter, Metairie Bank & Trust Northshore; Lira Casborne, Miracle League Northshore; Noble-Bates Young, Northshore Business Council; Ginger Kunkle, Northshore Food Bank–and NYP Love the Boot Cleanup Organizer!; Heather Rouse and Ashley Broyard, OnPath Federal Credit Union; Elizabeth Lee, St. Tammany Corporation; Samantha Bopp, U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy’s Office; and Matthew Guidry, The Advocate. It was a great day of fun and service to the community which is one of the NYPs major missions.
