As Director of Events and Public Policy, Amy organizes and spearheads 12 to 24 monthly events each year and six to eight annual events, including our Swinging for Scholarships Golf Tournament, Southern Nights Soiree and Explore Northshore Business and Community Expo. She also works closely with the Chamber CEO and vice president on governmental affairs activities and events to present the Chamber’s policies and viewpoints to local, state, and national governmental entities and agencies.
A native New Orleanian, Amy graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University, moved to the Northshore in 2012 and graduated from Leadership St. Tammany in 2020. Previously, she served as Director of Facilities for the City of Covington, managing nine facilities and six rental venues; she developed the rental venues to increase revenue while still providing affordable rental rates. Her background also includes working as a general manager for a hotel property, and as a business owner/operator.
