St. Tammany Cancer Center—A Campus of Ochsner Medical Center is the Chamber’s 2021 Site-to-See—Covington Award recipient as a business that enhances the appearance of its community by either its interior or exterior appearance.
This $50 million, 75,000 square-foot facility provides patients in St. Tammany with local access to more integrated cancer services than have ever been available in our community. This all-in-one beautiful building—through its design, amazing art, and incredible staff—creates a positive atmosphere for healing. The sheer number of cancer patients who seek their care closer to home was the driving force for the creation of this center. With a multidisciplinary design, patients benefit from the collaborative approach of a highly skilled team of medical, radiation and surgical oncologists, oncology nurses and navigators dedicated to supporting them and their loved ones.
The award was presented at the Chamber’s annual Business Appreciation Luncheon in November 2021. Accepting the award were Joan Coffman, Gwen Guernsey, and Jack Khashou
