Pizza Platoon is the St. Tammany Chamber’s 2020 Go Give Award recipient. This award honors a very committed and active business in our community that encourages employee involvement in the community by either giving of their time or money to worthy causes.
Pizza Platoon in Slidell is a small family and veteran owned business that opened in 2018 with a goal to give back to the community. They founded a local military nonprofit, fundraised for them year-round and, with so many nonprofits struggling during COVID, expanded to help more organizations with monthly fundraisers. They have fed shifts of ER and other workers at Slidell area hospitals—and then included police and emergency dispatchers with their pizza gifts!
The award was presented at the Chamber’s annual Business Appreciation Luncheon in November 2020. Accepting the award were Donna and Patrick Bach with Pizza Platoon.
