Here at the Chamber, we appreciate our business community. That is why every year, for the past eleven years, we ask the citizens of St. Tammany to tell us which businesses have made an impression on our parish and should be considered for the Chamber’s prestigious Business Appreciation Awards.

Nominations will be collected for ten different award categories, including:

Innovation Award: Awarded to a company that is a leader in technological change and/or incorporates new technologies in their day-to-day business.

Employee Training Award: Given to a business that supports employees’ continuing education.

Site to See Award: Bestowed upon a business location that enhances the appearance of the community. One winner may be selected for each city or town, including Covington, Mandeville, Madisonville, Abita Springs and Folsom (five total).

All in the Family Award: Honors an establishment that is a successful family-owned business.

Go Give Award: Celebrates a company that encourages employee involvement in the community, whether it’s by giving of their time and/or money to worthy causes.

Service with a Smile Award: Awarded to a company known for their outstanding customer service.

Environmental Steward Award: Celebrates a business that conducts or participates in activities that benefit the environment through its business practices and policies on an on-going basis.

Out of the Gate Running Award: Awarded to a business that has been in operation for less than three years and has positively contributed to the community.

Legacy Award: Celebrates a thriving business that has been in operation for more than 20 years and has made a long-term commitment to preserving the integrity and character of St. Tammany Parish.

Tammany Proud Award: Honors a business that does work outside of the southeast Louisiana area and that has fostered a positive image of St. Tammany Parish.

Know of an outstanding local business that fits one of these categories? Nomination forms must be submitted no later than Wednesday, October 31. Self nominations are also accepted.
